Erica’s style is defined by use of color, graphic compositions and constructed visuals to expand the possibilities, creating a reality of her own. Approaching both introspective and extrospective angles to express concerns with identity, transculturation, environmental issues, morality, technology dependance, and the ins and outs of what make living meaningful. Her technique is to ever so slightly whisper messages with a tropical façade using cryptic words, patterns, and photography. Miami is laced throughout her work: tropical and bright but also grimy and diverse. Passione per la vita e un forte impegno per la famiglia e la comunità. As a society we often fail to remember we are a collective species and through her work she hopes to reunite. The Summer of Love was a social phenomenon that occurred during the summer of 1967, when as many as 100,000 people converged in the center of the hippie movement. Her Summer of Love I and II collections are an ode to when hair was long and love was free. She will be premiering her Summer of Love III collection at Perspectiv Miami on October 8th. Specializing in custom lettering, illustrations, site-specific installations and street art, as well as work that has exhibited in galleries worldwide.
